Affordable protection for blue zinc surfaces

A wide range of passivation agents to meet the most diverse requirements. With the GC PASS passivation systems, silver, transparent, blue, yellow or black coloured coatings of zinc or zinc alloys can be obtained according to the desired finish or the required corrosion resistance.

GC PASS 100 is a thin- layer passivation on zinc surfaces deposited from acidic, alkaline or cyanide-based zinc baths. The fluoride-containing Cr(III)-based passivation forms an intense blue protective layer.

The cobalt-free GC PASS 100 passivation achieves white-rust corrosion resistance levels of about 24 h for rack and barrel materials in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227, which is also maintained after thermal stress (24 h, 120 °C).

GC PASS 100/110 ensures simple analytical monitoring.

GC PASS 110

GC PASS 120 (black thin- layer passivation)

Corrosion protection for black zinc surfaces

GC PASS 120 is a passivation on zinc surfaces which is deposited from alkaline or, as a special feature, from acidic electrolytes. The protective layer has a black to violet iridescent look.

The low working temperature during application and the heat resistance of the passivation during the hydrogen de-embrittlement are of advantage.
