Universal solution for universal protection – 1 universal passivation system for 8 different surfaces

A wide range of passivate layers meet the most diverse requirements. With the GC PASS passivation systems, silver, transparent, blue, yellow or black coloured coatings of zinc or zinc alloys can be obtained according to the desired finish or the required corrosion resistance.

MULTIPASS is a passivation solution which contains chromium (III). It is widely used in modern Cr(VI)-free corrosion protection systems.

Designed for rack and barrel goods, MULTIPASS provides relief in warehousing.

The relative immunity to contamination by zinc and iron allows a long service life. Simple photometric or titrimetric determination methods ensure high production reliability of the basic solution.

GC MULTIPASS Zn

GC MULTIPASS creates and intensive blue protective layer with good corrosion protection values according to DIN EN ISO 9227 on galvanized surfaces deposited by alkaline cyanide-free, alkaline-cyanide or acidic electrolytes.

The corrosion resistance is guaranteed even after heat aging (24 hours at 120 °C).

GC MULTIPASS shows very little colour loss during heat treatment for hydrogen de-embrittlement (T = 200 – 220 °C; t > 8 hours).

GC MULTIPASS ZnNi

(Zinc-nickel alkaline, zinc-nickel acidic)

GC MULTIPASS forms black and silver-coloured coatings on zinc-nickel layers deposited by acidic or alkaline electrolytes.

With a nickel incorporation rate of 12 to 15 %, high corrosion protection is achieved.

GC MULTIPASS ZnD

GC MULTIPASS primarily acts as a bonding agent for the subsequent paint coating on zinc die-cast parts. First, the cast has any oxide, oxide hydrates and basic carbonates removed from the cast skin. Then, GC MULTIPASSis anchored in the resulting voids. This ensures very high adhesive bonding for almost all dip and wet paints.

GC MULTIPASS achieves satisfactory corrosion protection without further post-treatment. Together with sealant systems from the GC TOP range, the highest protection requirements for zinc die-casting are achieved.

Further coating with black, cataphoretic dip coating (EDP) offers the highest corrosion protection and also has a deep black look while laminating the casting quality.
